Following is an entry from, Anudder Stone On Da Wall. Abid Chaudhry, of Smyrna, GA wrote: When you look at the song "Time" by Pink Floyd, you can see a direct relation to the clocks of the song, and the isolated moments in ones' life. The song starts by almost surprising the listener with the chimes, bells and what have you, of the clocks that immediately make it known that the song has begun... and, that your life is still progressing... whether you agree to it or not. "Ticking away, the moments, that make up the dull day"...these first few words of "Time" make concrete what so many people do not want to hear... that life just flows on... if you don't take advantage of the situation now, eventually it will take advantage of you... as in the ultimate destruction. We responded: Abid, ... it's about time. hehehe I always thought Alan Parsons did a great job with those clocks. And, I can grasp where you're coming from when ya say "if you don't take advantage of the situation now, eventually it will take advantage of you." In fact, the band did a tune about just that... you can check it out at by clicking here.
